We are pleased to include investigators, postdoctoral fellows, students, laboratory personnel, staff, and community partners in presentations and poster sessions. We welcome the participation of local and regional health departments, universities, colleges, and community organizations who are involved in promoting and sharing research outcomes. We encourage health disparities research investigators and population science experts to attend this conference as we reach to increase community participation in our translational program through networking and information sharing and exchange.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe translational research methods utilized in the study of science of health disparities and intervention in the areas of HIV/AIDS, Cardiovascular Disease and Diabetes, and Cancer; and
- Explain the importance of translational and community-engaged research in addressing specific diseases of disparities.
